Radiology

The Radiology Department is a relatively new addition (2005) to INMOL Cancer Hospital. We endeavor to follow and set high standards in radiology. We provide a friendly environment for patients and train our residents to become responsible and competent radiologists. We handle a busy workload in oncology as well as general radiology.

We provide facilities for whole-body digital X-rays. The Radiotherapy Department utilizes our CR services in treatment planning as well.

The Radiology Department is carrying out institutional-based practice (IBP) after routine hospital hours, at rates lower than prevailing market rates. Radiologists and residents are involved in multiple research projects and participate in national radiology conferences and symposia.

MAMMOGRAPHY

Both diagnostic and screening mammograms are performed. Many of our patients are referred from outside hospitals in addition to in-house referrals. Breast ultrasound complements mammography findings in many patients.

CT SCAN

CT scans play a key role in staging, restaging, and follow-up of oncology patients. Several outside patients also benefit from these services. CT simulations for several oncology patients are done daily.

ULTRASOUND AND DOPPLER

Ultrasound plays a significant role in oncology and general patient management. We have a busy ultrasound section providing whole-body ultrasound services.

DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY

Screening, diagnostic, and medical X-rays of various sites of the body are performed.

INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES

Interventional procedures, i.e., FNAs, trucut biopsies, pleural and ascitic taps, and drainage procedures are routinely carried out.

MRI

We have been providing services for whole-body MRI to both in-house and outside patients at cost-effective rates. MRI now includes a simulation facility for the treatment planning of cancer patients.

ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY

We provide echocardiography services to both in-house and outside patients.
